  • US service member who is looking to learn about life after the military. If life is just not right, this is just right for you.
  • If you wish to help our veterans, and you have not served in the military, we can use you too. Our group therapy is limited to veterans only, but you can help with the class room, learn about horses, and help interact with the equine portion of the class. Training is required for equine interaction.
  • If you are a veteran, and would like to volunteer your time, please register here. As a veteran, you will be invited to sit in the veteran only group therapy where we privately discuss issues facing veterans today.

Special Qualifications: Pneumatic tire vehicles acceptable for Training level.


Green as Grass: Driver has not completed an ADS recognized driving trial or CD. Competitors in this division may be assisted by a partner (co-driver) who can direct the driver, and/or can drive one phase.  Professional trainers may not participate as a co-driver unless the entry is Hors d’Concours (no awards)

Recreational Drive Only: $40 – includes High Tea or Hot toddy!  $30 if you volunteer for the DT on Sunday!

Driving Trial: Entry Fees: $100 for Junior Driver, $125 all others, includes $5 ADS competition support fee;  

Both days: Recreational Drive and Driving Trial: $150. (Junior $130).

Due to the late fall date and possible chilly weather: the driving trial marathon phase will be cancelled in the case of rain (or snow) on Sunday. We will adjourn to the Lodge for fire, films, and feasting.  In the case of rain on Saturday, The Hot Toddy drive will be rescheduled for Sunday afternoon on the marathon course if the weather is favorable by then.

Post Entry Fees: $10 extra if postmarked after entries close;

Entry Fee Refund Policy: Refund of entry fees will be made only upon receipt of veterinarian’s/doctor’s certificate attesting to the inability of the animal/driver to participate due to injury or illness, minus a $25 administrative fee;

Stall Fee: $50 for the weekend; Stall Deposit: $25; Separate Check? Yes; Stall Refund Policy: same as entry refund policy

DT Course Walk and Briefings: Briefing and Walk on Saturday 4:30pm. Presentation: On the  move;

Cones: Sunday 9:30 am;

Marathon: Sunday 1:30 pm;

Social Events: Saturday night dinner $25 per person

Terrain: Primarily dirt roads with rolling hills and grass fields.  

Green as Grass: 1 Section: B, approx. 5 km, with 3 Obstacles, 3 gates each.

Level: Training; 1 Section; B approx. 6 km;  4 Obstacles 3 gates each

Level: Preliminary & Prelim II: 1 Section; B approx. 6-7  km; 4-5 Obstacles with 4 gates each

Other Information

Veterinary/Health Requirements: Negative Coggins within 1 year of show date

Stabling Information: On-site indoor arena or permanent stabling. Ample room for vehicle storage under cover. Ramp on site for ease of loading and unloading vehicles. Bring your own hay, grain and shavings.

Driver/Groom twice around allowed on marathon? (Article 917) If scheduling permits. Permissions from Show Organizer required prior to submitting entry.

Misc. Show info: This is a beginner friendly event. All dogs must be leashed..

Awards Offered: Ribbons to sixth place. Championship ribbons for best  in each division.

Food Available on the Grounds: Food truck for lunch and snacks on Sunday from 9-3. Food on site at Stepping Stone Lodge for anyone staying at Stepping Stone and by arrangement with lodge staff for those not staying on site.

Accommodations: On site: Stepping Stone Lodge room at $150 per night with breakfast and dinner included. Additional $50 per night for couple.
