Lisa Miro

Was appointed by Mayor Finch in 2009 to start the Mayors Conservation Corp in the COB.  Within the first year, the MCC was highly successful, gaining the attention of the media and thousands of residents. By the end of 2009, the EPA selected Bridgeport as one of its Environmental Showcase Communities,  one of only 10 selected nationwide to be a role model for environmental change. Lisa has since been involved with Federal Grants, the latest is HOME Specialist, which is the largest Federal block grant to State and local governments designed exclusively to create affordable housing for low-income households and designed to reinforce several important values and principles of community development.  Lisa has a degree in Business Marketing and Political Science from Sacred Heart University.
